(The Mac Keeper we are discussing here is a fake one, but there is a real MacKeeper which is a legit software developed by US company – ZeoBIT LLC., so please NOT to be confused with legit App: MacKeeper from ZeoBIT LLC. )

Recently, some mac users had some bad experience about the Mac keeper. They may have the same confusion like them: 1) "I have to say, I have had some malicious behavior from Mac keeper on my iPhone, and I don't even have it on my iPhone! I just visited a yoga site on my iPhone, and all of a sudden it takes me to the Mac Keeper site and won't let me leave or shut the page down with out downloading Mac keeper! 2) i havent installed anything except steam. i think i'm slightly misunderstood when i said mac keeper. it isnt the application that is popping up, it's a window that looks like an advertisement for mac keeper, but it looks completely fake because of how the image in it is so low quality." Please don't worry, from here you can know more about the Mac keeper and find a solution to fix this issue.

Mac Keeper  Fake program Description

Currently, there is a virus called Mac Keeper. It is different from the legit MacKeeper from ZeoBIT company. Mac keeper fake is actually a fake security program which pretends to offer your Mac security and anti-virus features, but they actually alert you to nonexistent threats and may show you a lot of security alerts and warnings that can be implemented in a Growl-based interface and may also be backed up by fake system scan displays. This rogue Mac Keeper will not allow you to do anything and it will tell you that only after you buy this product your Mac can be safe and you can do other things. Also, you can not find it in the monitor or in the hard drive. It seems completely random and nothing will see it or remove it. Some people find this Mac Keeper keeps popping up and shows you lots of information about itself. These are all the ads about itself and it want to scam your money but when you spend your money on that, it won't do anything for you. This is very much in common with other rogue softwares, so please remember that this is a fake security application and it is highly dangerous, you need to remove it as soon as possible.

Can't remove Mac Keeper by anti-virus programs?

Many Mac users downloaded antivirus programs but can not remove Mac Keeper successfully.
