Hello all, I'm hoping someone can help me with my issue.  I recently have been getting a popup from zquirrel that I have not been able to remove no matter what I've tried.  I've run Malwarebytes, Adwcleaner, JRT and Trend MicroTitanium - in regular and safe modes to no avail. My only clue to where I might have the issue is a registry entry that cannot be deleted by JRT....

Details of Zquirrel.com

Zquirrel.com is categorized as a browser hijacker which can trouble you so much. It has an interface with several links to hot websites. So users won't think of removing it. After the infection, it can keep redirecting you to its pages. Unwanted ads are brought. It takes over your browser and controls your search results. Even you type in the URL or click random search results, you still will be redirected by it. And you usually get infected by it via free downloads. The act of visiting hacked websites, clicking sponsored ads and malicious links also may bring it to you. You should stay away from it.

Hi guys, I have been happily running Windows 7 on my laptop but recently decided to upgrade to Windows 10. I started to have problems where a particular program issued the message:

"This file has been tampered with and MAY BE INFECTED WITH A VIRUS"

I had never seen this before and decided to revert back to Windows 7. But I still get the same error message... Does anyone know what the error message means and how I can fix it please?

What is "This file has been tampered with and MAY BE INFECTED WITH A VIRUS"?

Once you get this warning message, your computer has infected by some malware or viruses. They come to your computer when you download and install infected software to your computer. Besides, they can also sneak into users’ computers via spam emails, peer to peer file sharing services, removable media, or other rogueware.
